The place we will see

We'll see a little of the many sides of Corsica — the character of Sartène and the Gulf of Valinco, the dramatic cliffs of Bonifacio, the Mediterranean around Porto-Vecchio, and the mountains and granite peaks around Zonza and Bavella. We'll follow the western coast toward the Calanques de Piana, with beaches, maquis, small villages, winding roads and plenty of spectacular scenery along the way. But the real point is not to collect places on a map. It's to discover an island with a culture and identity that are still very much alive — and to do it with a small group of curious people who could happily travel on their own, but enjoy having good company for the journey.

What we'll do

We'll explore villages and markets, meet local producers, taste Corsican food and wine, and spend time discovering the traditions that are still very much part of life on this fascinating island. There will be walks and time outdoors, boat trips when conditions allow, long lunches, shared dinners, swimming and beach time, and plenty of opportunities to wander on your own. Some days will be more active, others deliberately slow — with a French host throughout to bring the places, stories and people we meet along the way to life.

Accommodation & Transport

Small Corsican hotels & character-filled local stays
Places that feel connected to the island, not like they could be anywhere
Family-run spots, village stays & intimate properties over big chains
Beautiful settings — by the sea, in the mountains or tucked into a village
Comfortable rooms with plenty of Corsican character
Expect charm over uniformity — and yes, some rooms may be a little more rustic or compact than you’re used to in the U.S.

Join me for an 8-night, 9-day journey through Corsica — a small-group road trip shaped around the island’s spectacular nature, beautiful coastline and rugged mountains.

We’ll explore the south, from Sartène and Bonifacio to Porto-Vecchio, before heading into the mountains around Zonza and Bavella and along the western coast toward Piana and the Calanques.

There will be plenty of time outdoors — walks, beaches, swimming, beautiful drives, mountain landscapes and those inevitable stops when the scenery is simply too good to pass by.

Good food will naturally be part of it too: local markets, Corsican specialties, wine, long lunches and relaxed dinners shared along the way.

But mostly, this is about taking the time to experience Corsica. Not rushing from one place to the next, but enjoying the landscapes, the food, the little discoveries and the company along the way.

Corsica is an island I love deeply, and one I never get tired of exploring. I’m looking forward to sharing a little of that love for Corsica with you along the way.

A small group, good company, plenty of time outside — and a beautiful corner of France to discover together.

Clear Water

Sartène & Propriano. My kind of Corsica — less polished, more real. Sartène’s old stone streets and strong Corsican identity, Propriano’s little port and beaches, mountain roads, local cafés, and the feeling that you’ve wandered into a part of the island that hasn’t tried too hard to impress you.

Bonifacio. The kind of place that makes you stop and look twice. Built right into the cliffs, with a maze of old streets, a busy little harbor, centuries of history, and the Mediterranean stretching out below. We’ll explore it from the water, wander the citadel, and uncover the stories that make this corner of Corsica so fascinating.

Ajaccio & Napoleon. Born here in 1769, Napoleon is everywhere in Ajaccio — but his childhood home makes the story feel personal. We’ll visit the Bonaparte family home, wander the old streets where he grew up, browse the market, and soak up the easygoing life of Corsica’s capital.

Porto-Vecchio. Corsica with a little more buzz. Old-town evenings, the scent of maquis, salty swims, long lunches, and some of the island’s most famous beaches just outside town. A taste of Corsica’s summer side — lively, easygoing, and made for staying out late.

Piana & the Calanques. Red granite cliffs, winding roads, turquoise water & some of Corsica’s most jaw-dropping scenery. We’ll take our time here — stopping for the views, getting out on the water, and seeing why this stretch of coast is one of the island’s great natural wonders.
